Wellesley Symphony Orchestra
February 8, 2009
The Red Sox may have star pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka, but the Wellesley Symphony has star Boston Pops oboist Keisuke Wakao playing Mozart's Concerto. A memorable collaboration with Music Director, Max Hobart, former BSO assistant concertmaster. Also Boston composers Thomas Oboe Lee's Persephone's Soliloquy and Larry Bell's What Goes Around Comes Around. Elgar's Wand of Youth Suite and excerpts from Wagner's Die Meistersinger complete the program. 2:15 Pre-concert talk.
