Mercury prize-winning Antony and the Johnsons present emotionally charged chamber cabaret, creating music that is highly dramatic, piercing and lyrical. A veteran of artistic collaborations with such icons as Lou Reed and Bjork, Antony Hegarty has been compared to everyone from Nina Simone to Brian Ferry and has a voice that is hauntingly evocative. His soulful vocals are backed by the Johnsons' graceful arrangements. After a three year hiatus, Antony and the Johnsons hit the road with a new album, The Crying Light, due to be released January 2009.
