The season comes to a close with music that transports us to a mystical realm featuring the world premiere of Shirish Korde's Zikhr (based on ecstatic poetry of the Sufi) for voice, tabla & ensemble with guests Elizabeth Keusch, soprano & Aditya Kalyanpur, tabla. The concert also includes Schumann's Fantasiestucke, Faure's g minor Piano Quartet, Toru Takemitsu's "Rain Spell" for flute, clarinet, piano, vibraphone & harp, and Arvo Part's "Mirror in Mirror" for clarinet & piano. It will be a rapturous evening of inner spirituality and otherworldly fantasy not to be missed!
