Boston Midsummer Opera presents their summer 2009 production, Cosi Fan Tutte. Under the direction of Boston Midsummer Opera Artistic Director Drew Minter, the production will be sung in English and conducted by the nationally acclaimed Susan Davenny-Wyner. Founded in 2006, Boston Midsummer Opera has set its sights on presenting entertaining, accessible visions of opera, both well known and unfamiliar, at the highest possible level and at a reasonable price. BMO's talented young singers act their parts in savvy English translations, bringing operas both well known and unfamiliar to the delight of audience members both young and old. Great for a summers evening, fun translation that glossed over the dark side of this supremely cynical play. Well acted and sung with plaudits to the soprano.

Went to see it with my Mother, Daughter and Grandson...4 generations of opera lovers...We loved the fresh approach to the opera, great acting and good singing voices...My 5 years old grandson really... Expand

Thought the show was great fun - good voices, fine acting, and a witty and sometimes silly translation which brought things up to modern times in hysterical ways - Great energy. You leave smiling!

A wonderful show, with lovely singing and a delightful libretto in English! It was so fun to laugh at the lines as they were sung, rather than at subtitles! A wonderful show for a summer evening!
