Presented by at Armenian Library and Museum of America

    March 20, 2009

Earthsound is a Boston-based project that showcases original world music and jazz alongside recorded environmental sounds. The music draws upon the sounds and styles of diverse composers such as Duke Ellington, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Thelonious Monk, Maurice Ravel, and Igor Stravinsky. Improvised pieces performed over recorded soundscapes of natural settings complement the unique sound of the ensemble. Earthsound is led by bassist and composer Jason Davis, and features Nando Michelin on piano, Fernando Brandao on flute, and Jorge Perez-Albela on drums.
