Sueharu Fukami, artist, with introductory remarks by Hans Thomsen, chair of the East Asia Department, University of Zurich Sueharu Fukami's extraordinary ceramic sculpture has astonished artists and collectors in Japan and throughout the world. Transcending the ancient pale-blue porcelain techniques of Sonq Chinese qingbai ware, the Kyoto potter explores thoroughly modern forms to create truly unique works, overwhelming in both scale and drama.
