St. Vincent is singer/multi-instrumentalist/composer Annie Clark. St. Vincent is singer/multi-instrumentalist/composer Annie Clark. Beguiling, sophisticated and wildly talented, Clark is an inventive and versatile guitarist who writes cinematic songs filled with elegant lyrics and precocious arrangements that are broken by scathing guitar licks and inverted melodies. A veteran performer of Polyphonic Spree and Sufjan Stevens' backing ensemble, she's opened for such diverse artists as The National, Death Cab for Cutie and Arcade Fire, and was named Female Artist of the Year at the 2008 PLUG Independent Music Awards. St. Vincent will touring with a backing quartet in support of her much-anticipated second recording, Actor.
