    About One Step Away One Step Away, recent winner of the 2008 Boston Music Festival in the Alternative Rock Genre has been amazing audiences all over New England. This January, One Step Away became a winner on the national Famecast Rock Stage contest in competition with over 2,800 other Rock bands. Last February, One Step Away joined the Top 10 of the world's top up-and-coming artists who emerged winners among a pool of more than 25,000 artists in the Famecast Fenom contest. Folks are stunned when the find out that the band members are all just 16 years old! Formed in July of 2007, One Step Away is a rock band from Andover, Massachusetts with a fresh new sound. Drawing from many influences, their sound combines extraordinary instrumentals and strong melodic vocals to delight audiences of all ages. With a tight rhythm section, catchy leads, and exciting stage performance, seeing One Step Away live is truly a unique experience. The band members are currently 14- to 16-years old, and two have won scholarships to Berklee College of Music through the WBCN/Berklee College of Music Battle of the High School Bands where they were finalists. Their music has been played on WBCN radio, and the band claimed a top 10 spot in the the national Little Steven's Underground Garage/Teen Vogue Battle of the Female-Fronted bands contest out of a pool of adult and teen band contenders. Their CD, Saving My Sanity, which was released at the Hard Rock last July, has garnered good reviews from New England Performer and Music Connection magazines. They plan to announce the dates of their 2009 Havin' A Great Time Tour of New England in April. The official website is at www.JessicaProuty.com. About Acacius Acacius is an alternative metal band derived from a combination of new-age hardcore, classic rock, and even pop roots. Begun in 2006 in Andover, MA, they have progressed musically and as human beings during these three years. They write songs with varying genres tied together - a song that people haven't heard before that incorporates powerful, melodic vocals with all the intensity and grit that comes with the hardcore rock. Acacius puts on a terrific high energy show and never ceases to entertain.
