2008 Parents' Choice Award Winner & 2008 National Parenting Publications Award Winner Alphabet Rockers returns to The Regent Theatre with their Award-Winning kids music, getting everyone on their feet with hip (hop) sounds, DJ-style scratching and jammin' beats. Their play list will appeal to preschoolers and early elementary school kids with its high-energy sound and educational messages and parents will be surprised and engaged by the cool and unconventional songs. Alphabet Rockers are sure to get audiences groovin' and movin' while they are counting, spelling and learning. The show features Kaitlin McGaw, a Harvard graduate, who is originally from Belmont, Mass., and has been singing professionally in various bands in San Francisco; Maria Minidis, also of Belmont, who studied voice at the Boston Conservatory and theatre at Boston University, and has been performing on stage and television since she was a child; DJ Reazon (Geoff Abramczyk), of Jamaica Plain, Mass., a Berklee College of Music graduate, and newcomer Kyle Myrick, a beatboxer and dancer from Jamaica Plain, Mass. A 2008 Parents' Choice Award and 2008 National Parenting Publications Award winner, Alphabet Rockers CD has been applauded nationally by parenting publications, teachers and music critics. Alphabet Rockers was produced by School Time Music, founded by former 4 Non Blondes drummer Dawn Richardson and singer Kaitlin McGaw to create contemporary educational children's music.
