Welcome to 8th grade biology class! Your teacher, Miss Margarida, is a mercurial matriarch, often digressing from biology to taunt and harangue. She warns that you could be sent to the principal's office (and sometimes students never come back!) She asks how to divide 12 bananas among 35 people and answers that the strongest gets 9, the second strongest 3, and the rest get none. Miss Margarida's Way is a unique show that you must see to believe! Originally banned in Athayde's native Brazil, this hilarious and chaotic allegory about totalitarianism has since played in over 50 countries, including twice on Broadway with Estelle Parsons in the starring role. Winner of the Moliere Prize, Miss Margarida's Way will have you laughing, cringing, thinking, and just maybe hiding under your desk!
