    Roots & Wings: Celebrating the Best of Halalisa

    The Halalisa Singers present their spring concert, "Roots and Wings - Celebrating the Best of Halalisa.” Be prepared for a fun-filled evening of music from around the world and let your voices join in on the favorites! Past Halalisa directors including founder Nick Page, Sandi Peaslee, and Jeannie Gagné will conduct their favorites; vocalist Bobbi Carrey is the featured soloist with the group.

    The Anniversary concert features highlights from 15 years of Halalisa performances including "Ale Brider" by Joshua Jacobson; Paul Simon's "Bridge over Troubled Water;" "City of Chicago" arranged by Nick Page, Latin favorite, "Congori Shango", "We Are One" from the Gospel tradition, "Seasons of Love" from the musical, Rent and "Wanting Memories" by Ysaye Barnwell.

    We will also be performing on Friday evening, May 15th at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Wellesley Hills at 8:00 p.m. The guest conductors will only be featured at the May 16th concert in Lexington.
