    Join a community of multicultural writers in a conference at Emerson College July 17-18. Participate in workshops, readings, and panel discussions covering fiction, personal essay, memoir and poetry writing. Hone your creative writing skills and brainstorm about the challenges faced by creative writers of color who seek to publish their work. Workshop leaders include Basic Black television show host/author Kim McLarin, and authors Jennifer Baszile (The Blackgirl Next Door), Emily Bernard (Some of My Best Friends: Writers on Interracial Friendship), and Reginald O'Hare Gibson (Storms Beneath the Skin).
