With fine artist Shari Weschler Rubeck, you can allow yourself to dream the strangest dreams. Rubeck paints with oil on canvas and fuses design, abstraction, theater, costumes, circus and the figure, whether human, animal or a combination of both. Using bold, but subtle color combinations and fusions of a richly imaginative and whimsical subject matter, Rubeck takes us on a journey to discover a storied world where things are not as they seem and emotions run high. Each painting is a captured moment in a strange performance. The viewer is left to contemplate what expression the character or characters are wearing and why.
