    Family program with author and artist, Charles Ferguson Barker New England has a spectacular geologic history of colliding continents, erupting volcanoes, and roaming dinosaurs. Charles Ferguson Barker, geologist and author of the children's book Under New England: The Story of New England's Rocks & Fossils, will introduce young explorers to the rich geological landscape of the region. Free with museum admission. Barker studied geology at Boston University and did field work for his Master's degree along the Maine coast.
