Understanding the brilliance of the St. Lawrence String Quartet only takes one hearing. Their ability to move from gritty edge to lithe elegance and back again in an instant is dazzling. Their hallmarks are boundless energy, musical courage, and adoring audiences. The program will include the Boston premiere of John Adams’ String Quartet, composed for the guests in 2008.
