Fruitlands Museum's Artist-in Residence, Zsuzsanna Szegedi demonstrates her technique that captures the soul of a tree on canvas. Working with oils outdoors, Zsuzsanna will demonstrate the fluidity of gesture painting. She will show how to recognize and capture the unique qualities of familiar tree forms with spontaneous gestures. Hungarian-born artist Zsuzsanna Szegedi holds a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art where she is currently a Visiting Lecturer. Her paintings can be regularly seen at the Copley Society of Art galleries in Boston and publications such as the Orion and Studio Visit Magazine. Her next solo exhibit, The Lure of Trees, will be on display at Fruitlands in September, 2009.
