Presented by at New College Theatre

    April 22 - May 2, 2010

Presented by Office for the Arts at Harvard, and Harvard-Radcliffe Drama Club. Copulating monkeys, bizarre transvestites, shameless cannibals, incest, murder, and ... Katherine Hepburn!!!?! An unforeseen variety of nightmares plagues the characters in Nicky Silver's Fat Men in Skirts!!!?!, a hysterical dark comedy coming to the New College Theater this month. Considering their crazy fantasies, Bishop, Phyllis, Howard, Pam, Popo and Dr. Nestor must be really screwed up. Like no one you’ve ever met, right? Maybe. Or maybe they are just like YOU. And the person right next to you. And everyone you’ve ever met for that matter. What if you had that chance to witness dreams and night terrors of other people, as alive as anything you have ever seen? In the surreal world of Fat Men in Skirts!!!?!, you will get to know eccentric, larger than life characters from the inside out, via their subconscious interactions and adventures. Is Bishop Hogan trapped on a desert island, feasting on human bodies with his mother? Or, is he in a mental institution!? Perhaps he is living at home with his mother, his father and his father’s ex-porn-star mistress!?! Then again, he might be somewhere else entirely, spinning all of these fantasies in his head? What is reality and does it even matter at all!!?! Fat Men in Skirts!!!?! explores these questions and more, and if nothing else leaves you thinking that “it’s no one’s fault. It’s [just] the nature of the monkeys.” Be assured: from April 22nd to May 2nd, the monkeys will come very alive in the New College Theater!!!?!
