Berklee students from the Berklee Musical Theater Workshop and Musical Theater Orchestra present a completely staged and costumed production of Elton John and Tim Rice's rock musical Aida, with a 24-piece orchestra. Based on Verdi's opera, Aida tells the timeless love story of a Nubian princess and her Egyptian captor. Emotions run high; there is jealousy, intrigue, and a beautiful but ill-fated love story, all told through the great rock music of Elton John and the lyrics of Tim Rice. Ashley Cook portrays Aida and Rodney Bush will fill the role of Radames, the Egyptian captain. The show will run for one night only.
