Why is there a naked woman in Sigmund Freud’s closet?

Salvador Dali arrives at Sigmund Freud’s house for tea, but what he really wants is to paint the patron saint of Surrealism. But if Freud is convinced that all Surrealists are fools, why would he agree to meet with a lunatic? Meanwhile, a young, attractive student has also arrived, seeking the doctor’s professional opinion, and she won't take no for an answer. Inspired by an actual meeting, Terry Johnson’s Hysteria, or Fragments of an Analysis of an Obessional Neurosis is a demonic, farcical romp of hilarious misunderstandings about passion, self-control, and two of the world’s greatest and most eccentric minds.

      The intrepid and courageous Richard Snee as Freud tries to balance the unconscionable mugging of John Kuntz as Dali,and relentless stridency of Stacy Fischer as Jessica in a play that was simply the most myopic and irksome writing I have heard in ages. It's like three plays in one, and none particularly provocative or interesting. I had look away from the stage at times out of sheer frustration. There are so many great new playwrights out there, what were they thinking mounting this? Ah well, win some, lose some. Nice set design. Collapse

      The intrepid and courageous Richard Snee as Freud tries to balance the unconscionable mugging of John Kuntz as Dali,and relentless stridency of Stacy Fischer as Jessica in a play that was simply the most myopic and irksome writing I have heard in ages. It's like three plays in one, and none particularly provocative or interesting. I had look away from the stage at times out of sheer frustration.
