Making Art with Young Children In The Art Studio May 1, 2010 9:00 am - 1:00 pm $50 (Members $45) (4 PDPs) This Studio session will focus on strategies and ideas for engaging young children with materials. Taking cues from the Visual Thinking Strategies and the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education, our work with materials will provide a model for helping young children explore and learn from materials while highlighting the importance of the role of observation and facilitation by adults. This process-centered rather than product-centered approach encourages critical thinking, self-expression, and creativity. Instructor Meghan Burch Registration is required.
