The Copley Society of art is proud to announce a national juried exhibition celebrating the Marine tradition, titled "Atlantic and Beyond." Distinguished Marine art specialists John Stobart and J. Russell Jinishian served as Director of the Maritime Gallery at Mystic Seaport for over ten years and now has his own marine art gallery. "Atlantic and Beyond" features an impressive range of mediums, styles, techniques, and interpretations of the Marine theme. Artists from East to West coast have submitted dramatic interpretations in the Marine Art tradition. In addition to painting submissions, works in scrimshaw and photography are part of the more than 200 submitted pieces. The exhibition opens with a reception on Thursday, May 20th from 5:30 - 7:30pm at the Co|So gallery, and continues through June 19th, 2010.
