At New England Conservatory, jazz runs hot in musicians' veins of all ages, a tradition dating back 40 years when NEC launched the first fully accredited jazz studies program at a music conservatory. In celebrating 15 years as chair of Prep & Continuing Education Jazz at NEC, host David Zoffer dips into the past, present, and future of jazz in this special live DVD shoot and benefit. Performers will include current and previous faculty like Jason Palmer, alumnus Jeremy Udden and the entire current NEC jazz faculty, playing as a large band and in ensembles.
