Regarded as a guitar prodigy at the age of 13, Julian Lage spent several years touring with Gary Burton. Recognition from jazz superstars Herbie Hancock and Bela Fleck soon followed. Recently Lage released his premier recording "Sounding Point" on EmArcy Records, which was nominated for Best Contemporary Jazz Album and received critical acclaim for Julian's thoughtfully composed works and innovations in duo and trio settings. The Julian Lage Group appears at TCAN following their performance as the headlining act for the 2010 Carefusion Jazz Festival in New York City.
