The Looper Supergroup Debuts at Rough Night III

Don’t miss the Looper Supergroup in its first, and likely its last, appearance: Gobs of electronics to satisfy your inner knob-twister. Free loop-shaped treats for attendees. And video! United by the foolhardy musical technique of looping, the following improvisational musicians will lull you into a happy haze of deja vu: James Coleman (on a Theremin made for him personally by Robert Moog); Keiichi Hashimoto (on trumpet), Jesse Kaminsky (sax), and Kelly Roberge (sax), all from the group Cereal; Mike Dobiel (sax); and Garrison Fewell and Travis Nutting on guitar. You will see lights and hear loops and feel some subtle kind of recursive energy build and build before it explodes into a massive ball of flaming priceless instruments. Oh, the humanity. Oh, the Looper Supergroup. May 6, 8pm at Outpost 186 $10 admission, at 186 ½ Hampshire Street in Cambridge This is another Rough Night
