Composer and a bandleader Duke Ellington remains one of the most influential figures in jazz, if not in American music. Join the Pops with jazz and blues vocalist Dee Daniels to pay homage to a musician who filled the world with a treasure trove of music that renews itself through every generation of fans and music-lovers. Duke Ellington wrote over 3,000 songs during his lifetime, but is best known for “It Don’t Mean a Thing if It Ain't Got That Swing,” “Sophisticated Lady,” “Mood Indigo,” “Solitude,” “In a Mellotone,” and “Satin Doll.”
