Musica Sacra rounds out its anniversary season with a celebration of one of Boston's most creative choral programmers. Culled from thirty years of gathering choral works across the centuries and from around the world, Artistic Director Mary Beekman has assembled a program of works with no other criteria than a love for each. Ms. Beekman writes that she looks for music that "can excite me, calm me, stir me, make me ruminative, inspire me spiritually, or amaze me." Mary's Playlist includes works by Whitacre, Mäntyjärvi, Elgar, Dinerstein, Wyner, Schickele, and Pearsall among others.

"[Susan Miron] has rarely heard a more enjoyable evening of music and words for chorus (a small one, about 26). Never having heard this jaw-droppingly good chorus before, I was astonished by the sheer beauty of their voices, which under Mary Beekman’s inspired and rigorous direction, captured the spirit of each of a large variety of texts and music."
