Roomful of Teeth - Work In-Progress Performance
June 18, 2010
A sell-out last year, the classically trained Roomful of Teeth singers return for an a capella adventure in which they study and master a variety of different singing styles. Inuit throat singers will join the ensemble this year, adding their highly rhythmic and playful singing to the range of Roomful of Teeth styles. A concert of new works including premieres by composer Caleb Burhans (“new music virtuoso” – NY Times) will provide a finale of ululation, yodeling, throat singing and all manner of vocal pyrotechnics.
