Beginning Piano Class (Ages 7 years and older) This class offers a creative alternative to private lessons. Students will learn the basics of rhythm, notation and ear training in a relaxed group setting that incorporates music and movement with basic keyboard skills. By the end of the session students will be able to read and play simple melodies, recognize all notes on the keyboard, and understand the basics of rhythm and notation. This class is a solid introduction for students who are planning to start individual lessons, or wanting to learn the basics of the keyboard. Beginning Guitar Class (Ages 7 years and older) Whether you aspire to be the next great guitar virtuoso or just want to strum a few chords around the campfire, this introductory class will give you a great start! Students will learn the fundamentals of chords, scales, strum patterns and finger picking. Concepts learned in class will be applied to songs and chord progressions. Bring your own guitar or borrow one from BMS for class use.
