Jazz vocalist Claire Dickson, age 13, has won the Downbeat Magazine Student Jazz Award for Junior High School jazz vocals and will celebrate with a concert at Ryles Jazz Club. She will perform from the American Songbook and classic Bebop and Latin repertoire. She will perform with her trio -- Michael McLaughlin, piano; Greg Loughman, bass; and Eric Rosenthal, drums.
