Add Review/Comment
This festival of British Film Noir classics includes masterworks by directors Carol Reed, John Boulting, Robert Hamer, and Michael Powell. The series features a restored 35 mm print of John Boulting’s Brighton Rock, starring Richard Attenborough and based on the Graham Greene novel, and Robert Hamer’s rediscovered classic, It Always Rains on Sunday. The series also includes Michael Powell’s notorious Peeping Tom and the two most famous collaborations between director Carol Reed and screenwriter Graham Greene: The Fallen Idol, starring Ralph Richardson and Michèle Morgan, and the most celebrated British Film Noir of them all, The Third Man, starring Joseph Cotton, Alida Valli, and Orson Welles as black marketer Harry Lime.
