    From Ballet to Hip Hop, Square Dance to Modern, over 15,000 people expected at this FREE all-day, indoor-outdoor celebration showcasing dance as a positive force for social change The Second Annual Dance for World Community Festival will present performances by over 40 New England dance companies and youth troupes; a full day of introductory classes for adults and children in ethnic, classical and contemporary dance forms; and “Dancing in the Street,” a block party with live music and entertainment into the night. Several social advocacy groups will participate in the Festival with informational booths and representatives available to engage the public in their critical work New England's most accomplished dance companies will perform including Jose Mateo Ballet Theatre, Margot Parsons Dance Company, Ken Pierce Baroque Dance, Rosann Kraus, Prometheus Dance, and inspiring youth troupes such as Ritmo en Accion, and Dances with Wheels, children performing in wheelchairs. Sunday, June 13, 2-6:00 pm will offer, “TALK ABOUT DANCE!”, a series of discussions and workshops which focus on expanding the role of dance in communities through partnership, leadership, education, and outreach.
