Live Painting Demonstration with Zsuzsanna Szegedi
June 5, 2010
The dramatic forms of broken branches and knotted, gnarled trunks have been a focal point for Szegedi since she started painting trees over 10 years ago. Using bold color and strong brushwork, she explores the contrast that exists both in ourselves and in nature—protected and wild, together and alone, light and dark. In this demonstration, Zsuzsanna will select one of her favorite trees at the Arboretum and talk about her process and technique as she creates new art in the moment.
