The Barrouallie Whalers
June 17, 2010
The Barrouallie Whalers bring their Caribbean roots to Boston, performing at the Roxbury Center for Arts at Hibernian Hall, where they will sing unique shanties and other traditional local folk songs. The Barrouallie Whalers are a group of men who have worked as whalers with roots in the town of Barrouallie in the West Indies. They now travel across the globe, sharing the lost art of their traditional songs and history of whaling with the world.
