“Wildly entertaining… The first director to film rock ‘n’ roll with the energy and flair it demanded.”- The New York Times. One of the original pin-up girls, Jayne Mansfield stars as a gangster's moll, Jerri Jordan, who is forcibly convinced that she should be the next big rock'n'roll singing-dancing sensation. Edmond O'Brien stars as Fats Murdoch, the gangster who wants to marry Jerri, but only if she's as famous as singer Julie London. To that end , Fats hires Ms. London's old manager Tom Miller (Tom Ewell) to make Jerri a star. While Jerri's a pin-up girl if ever there was one, her "singing" voice is that of an emergency siren, breaking glass at certain pitches. Will Tom Miller be able to turn her into the sensation that Fats wants, or will he end up sleeping with the fishes?
