    Waltham Riverfest

    Take part in Waltham Riverfest, a celebration of the historic Charles River, with song and dance, boating, the arts, and great food! On Friday evening, rent a canoe or kayak, 5-8pm, or enjoy a moonlight cruise, 7-10pm. Dance to the sounds of the Sugarfoot Afro-Latin Jazz Band, 6:30-9pm. On Saturday, outdoor performances take place in Embassy Park and on Margarita's patio along Moody St., starting at 10am. Watch artists Paint the River, tour Art Windows, and finish the day at 4pm with an Artists Reception and auction of 'fresh' art created earlier in the day. The Reception, featuring offerings from Waltham's famed 'Restaurant Row,' and art auction are located at BU Center for Digital Imaging Arts, 274 Moody St., Waltham. All events are free and open to the public.
