Brothers Joseph and Charles Douaihy are young, gay, and having a hell of a year. Their father has died and their uncle is losing it – putting the brothers' once unbreakable sense of humor to the test. Stephen Karam, "the playwright of the Facebook generation" and author of the Off Broadway smash hit Speech & Debate turns the Douaihy family's epic woes into brutally funny comedy.

      I give the cast credit: they really tried ... but they had nothing to work with. This is a play about nothing, that goes no where, and leaves you feeling flat. So what if the kids are gay ... how... Expand

      I give the cast credit: they really tried ... but they had nothing to work with. This is a play about nothing, that goes no where, and leaves you feeling flat. So what if the kids are gay ... how does that become a meaningful element? (It doesn't). And much is made, in fact the entire 'drama', centers around the fact that [SPOILER] the father was in a car accident ... but he doesn't die from the car accident. So, all of that is very distracting ... but distracting from what? In the end, the story is too shallow to carry any major themes. And the comedy ... well, more like vaudeville than real, talented comedy. Collapse

      I was expecting big things from this show, but was very disappointed. One would think after 18 months of development this play would be a TAD more cohesive. The audience was constantly being hit... Expand

      I was expecting big things from this show, but was very disappointed. One would think after 18 months of development this play would be a TAD more cohesive. The audience was constantly being hit over the head with quirky characters and story lines that went absolutely nowhere. There was so much set up in the first act, that I couldn't wait to see how the second act would turn out. Within 10 minutes of the start of the second act, I just wanted it to end....45 minutes later, we finally had an ending....no, not really an ending...it just sort of stopped. Yes, the play just stopped. There was no ending. Like this review! 1 star for Joanna Gleason. Collapse
