    COASTAL KIDS bike ride

COASTAL KIDS RIDE: 8-10am, Saturday, June 19th, Ipswich High School campus. Families with preschool and early-elementary aged kids are invited to attend the event. Event kicks off with Bright Happy Power’s annual paper crane drop using the General Sutton ladder truck from the Ipswich Fire Department and the start of the metric century Coast of Hope bike ride. Ipswich Police will work with Bright Happy Power’s volunteers to run a traffic safety and obstacle course with age-appropriate routes for tricycles and bicycles. Please bring helmets! (Strollers and wagons can also navigate some parts of the course.) The on-campus Coastal Kids Ride is open to the public; donations Happy help children and families supported by Bright Happy Power. The event will include bike safety inspections, music, snacks and giveaways for all participants. Event organizers want to empower younger riders to help friends and peers, especially due to recent events such as the diagnosis of an Ipswich preschool-aged child with leukemia.
