Presented by at Griffin Museum of Photography

    July 5 - July 23, 2010

The Griffin Museum is excited to offer two workshops for students grades 5 - 9 and one for grades 1 - 4. We know your child will enjoy our offerings that utilize the photograph and other visual arts media for a fun and collaborative educational experience. Each class is structured to build visual literacy skills as well as develop critical thinking skills through artmaking. Although the classes do not require a camera, students are welcome to bring cameras to use in their projects. No photography experience is needed. An exhibition of all student artwork will go on display at the museum after the completion of all workshops. Class size limited to 15. Arts educator Catherine Nasser will lead the workshops. Students may take more than one class. Students grades 5-9 who register for the two classes, will receive a $50 discount off of their total price. The Collage/Assemblage and Photo Arts classes will run from 9 AM to 3 PM on Monday through Friday with a half hour supervised lunch. Students should bring a packed lunch to class every day. The Elementary class will run from 9 AM to NOON. MORE INFO...
