This old-time brass band concert will feature some works actually written originally for brass band: Gustave Holst's Second Military Suite in F, a brass band classic, selections from the American Brass Band Journal including marches, ballads and quick-steps played by bands that were part of the Civil War Armies. It also featured old-time ragtime and early turn-of-the-century jazz.
