The BCAE Bypasses State Ban on Casinos
July 15, 2010
While casino operators are one step closer to legalizing gambling in the state of Massachusetts, the Boston Center for Adult Education (BCAE) knows that bidding on a casino is a risky bet to make. After all, it could be years before Massachusetts residents step into a casino on their own turf. As the premier, local adult education center, the BCAE strives to provide classes that support the public’s “emerging needs.” While “needs” is highly subjective, the BCAE figured that there’s been enough legislation, controversy and press to take matters into their own hands. On Wednesday, July 15th, 2010 the BCAE is upping the ante and holding a one-session “Poker Tips and Whiskey Tasting” class for those that are craving a little speak-easy fun. From 6:00PM to 9:00PM join Master Distiller Brad Jarvis and Pit-boss John Berube for a special pairing of sips and chips. Learn how to hold ‘em or fold ‘em while you learn the difference between bourbon and scotch. Whether you’re just discovering the world of vice, or are a self-proclaimed connoisseur, you’ll be able to enjoy this night of legally indulgent fun! WHERE: Boston Center for Adult Education 122 Arlington Street, Boston MA, 02116 WHEN: Thursday, July 15, 2010 from 6:00PM - 9:00PM COST: Non-Member Cost: $45.00, Member Cost: $40.00, Materials Cost: $15.00 RSVP: Registration is necessary.
