Help Hamisi Celebrate His 1st Birthday at Franklin Park Zoo

Join Dad, Beau and Mom, Jana to help celebrate the birth of their male offspring, Hamisi, during a special 1st birthday party at Franklin Park Zoo. Hamisi’s parents, Beau and Jana, are both ranked very highly in terms of their importance to maintaining the genetic diversity of the North American captive Masai giraffe population. Hamisi was the third calf born to Beau and Jana. The giraffes make their home on the Giraffe Savannah at Franklin Park Zoo. In honor of the celebration, Zoo visitors will enjoy complimentary ice cream samples of J.P. Licks’ limited-edition giraffe-themed flavor, xx, available at all J.P. Licks’ locations for the month of July. Guests are also welcome to enjoy a complimentary animal-themed yoga class for all ages, led by instructor, Katy O’Brien, from Stil Studio at Dedham’s Legacy Place, special zookeeper encounters throughout the day and the opportunity to sign a giant birthday card for Hamisi.
