The film had its Boston Premiere in last November's Boston Jewish Film Festival. It was a finalist for audience favorite at the Tribeca Film Festival. More About the Film: African-American Avery grows up the adopted daughter of white Jewish lesbian parents, with two adopted brothers, one Korean and the other mixed race. When Avery becomes curious about her heritage, she contacts her birth mother, which leads to more questions than answers concerning her identity and as a result, she begins missing school and distancing herself from her home. After her behavior threatens her dreams of running college-track, she begins her journey of self-discovery while fighting to hold on to her dream.
