    Laura Cortese & Shannon Heaton return to Club Passim with their fabulous KYST Workshop for indie musicians: Keep your sh**t together as an independent musician and feeling great while doing it! In this two-day (Aug. 11 and 12) intensive workshop acousta-popster Laura Cortese and Irish trad diva Shannon Heaton offer sassy, entertaining and invaluable strategies for booking, promoting, touring, and building a strong and enduring act. Building on KYST 101, which explored touring/marketing on the national scale, big picture goal setting, day to day time management, stress management techniques, booking/negotiating techniques, and managing expenses, health, and nutrition on the road. KYST 201 will emphasize Booking and Building a Tour (Day 1) and Promoting, Developing and Branding (Day 2). Once again participants will receive tasty road-ready snacks, handouts to put new techniques into practice RIGHT AWAY, KYST 201 Diplomas, and a swift kick in the seat from two of Passim's sassiest performers! Workshops are held at the Passim School of Music, located at 26 Church Street, 3rd Floor, in Harvard Square, Cambridge.
