The Sax Pack is a class act consisting of three signature sax players; Jeff Kashiwa, Kim Waters and Steve Cole. Backed by a tight rhythm section, the talented trio combine their life-long love of music and their passion for performance, to make an impact on audiences that love music as much as they do. Committed to sharing the excitement, spontaneity and creative energy that flows between them on stage, The Sax Pack inspires an audience far beyond the duration of a show. The well-known saxophonists are excited to create a show that combines their individual styles and diverse backgrounds for a fresh approach to the music that inspired them all to become musicians; jazz. Highlights of the tour will feature original music written specifically for The Sax Pack, as well as each sax player's signature hits and the classic funk, R&B and jazz tunes that will get fans out of their seats. Jeff Kashiwa is the driving force behind The Sax Pack. The Seattle native has described his career as, "deeply fulfilling" and "rich with touring, recording and performing experiences with many of my personal musical idols." Jeff's number one hit, "The Aah Ooh Song"from his "Another Door Opens" CD, opened the door to an even larger fan base, joining the many steady followers from his days with The Rippingtons. His most recent release Peace Of Mind shows a more intimate side to Jeff's playing and compositions. With five solo CDs under his belt and another one under way, he is not one to sit on his laurels. The dynamic, creative performer thought it would be a blast for musicians and audiences alike, to combine the talent of multiple leading saxophone players for a concept-driven tour that integrated their unique voices with playful comradery. After many years performing with the Ripps, followed by tours with Acoustic Alchemy, Chuck Loeb, Special EFX, and his own group, Coastal Access, Jeff understood the power of chemistry when putting together a premier line-up of his peers. When he started speaking to fellow sax players, the interest and excitement was mutual. The challenge of combining busy schedules proved daunting at first, but everyone was determined to work together to bring this group to life. A few months later, The Sax Pack was born and promoters were calling to book this dedicated, all-star group. To fill out the funk in the group, Jeff called fellow sax man Kim Waters. Originally from Baltimore, Kim has become one of the top artists in contemporary jazz, earning top sales and achieving ten number one hit singles from his many releases. His fifteenth CD, "All For Love" was released in 2005 to rave reviews. Kim continues to grow musically as he climbs to the top of the contemporary jazz world and he's expanded his following to fans of Urban radio with ease. This popular sax man knows how to reach an audience in any setting and he delivers memorable, high-energy performances with style and grace. Chart-topping saxophonist Steve Cole fits into the mix like a glove. Steve is a riveting performer with a talent for creating memorable hooks and catchy music that make crowds move and become forever loyal. Cole's soulful style reflects the rich R&B heritage of his hometown, Chicago. This high-caliber, creative sax man has made a mark in jazz by releasing consistently enjoyable CDs, including his current release "True". Steve's new release was inspired by Chicago musicians Curtis Mayfield and Chaka Kahn. This talented collaboration is a tasteful blend of passion, connection and soulful expression that will have fans groovin' out of their seats. Designed to be an experience that creates a long-lasting impression, The Sax Pack show will inspire audiences to return again and again for another taste of the good life.
