a drama by Theresa Rebeck directed by Bridget Kathleen O’Leary featuring Will Lyman as Evan and Sarah Newhouse as Nora based on Hernik Ibsen’s A Doll House Set in suburban Connecticut, this contemporary adaptation of Ibsen’s classic follows the iconic Nora as she struggles to preserve her seemingly perfect life. Nora’s “happy home” is compromised when a man from her past unexpectedly resurfaces and threatens to reveal her secret. In this play by critically-acclaimed playwright Theresa Rebeck, Nora must decide between her idyllic world and a life she can truly claim as her own.

      Truthfully, I fell asleep during the first act. The writing and the characters couldn't keep me awake. Perhaps its because I couldn't hear the actors, either. I stayed awake for Act 2, though,... Expand

      Truthfully, I fell asleep during the first act. The writing and the characters couldn't keep me awake. Perhaps its because I couldn't hear the actors, either. I stayed awake for Act 2, though, because there was a lot of emotion. I didn't believe that Nora was the ethereal being that everyone longed to be with; she was just unbelievable. I thought the husband did a great job. You loved to hate him during his tirade against Nora. And when he acted like nothing was wrong afterwards, I wanted to smack him. I thought Neil was excellent. Christine annoyed me; she didn't speak up and she, I thought, was a troublemaker (she didn't tell Nora or the husband that Neil was going to let the secret die). I think Christine and Neil made a love match DollHouse 2. All in all, I thought it was much ado about nothing! Collapse
