    The ALLEN 250 BLOCK PARTY is a community wide celebration commemorating the 250th birthday and honoring Bishop Richard Allen, Founder of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. The Allen 250 Block Party on Bishop Allen Drive in Central Square, Cambridge will include music and dance performance stage with Bobby Tynes, Tracey Rose, Improv Boston, Gospel Choirs, food and craft vendors, games, family activities, and a historical re-enactment of the event that led to the founding of the AME Church taking place inside the St. Paul Church. A rededication of Bishop Richard Allen Drive with Cambridge Mayor David Maher, Councilor Kenneth Reeves, and Marcellus A. Norris, Pastor, of St. Paul is at 1:00 pm on the main stage.
