Dancer/Choreographer Daniel Charon, who spent ten years as lead dancer with Doug Varone and Dancers, will perform {TWO: two dancers, two solos, two duets} on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. at the Julie Ince Thompson Theatre at The Dance Complex in Central Square, Cambridge. This intimate theatre will serve as the host to Daniel’s season finale, {TWO} will include an evening premiere and works in progress. This performance will celebrate Daniel’s unique choreographic voice which is known for a poetic subtlety, effortless lifts, intermittent full-throttle bodily emoting, and signature “lovely relaxed torsion.” Daniel’s dance partner for the evening performance of {TWO} is the riveting Natalie Desch currently of Doug Varone and Dancers. Ms. Desch is a powerful dancer with magnificent force, grace, and poise. Her expansive movements dash and dart over a stage, shifting into a suspended moment where the air thins and time stands still. With a 90 person capacity, the audience will get an unusually close look at Daniel’s choreography, hailed “gripping” by the New York Times, expertly performed by Daniel and Natalie.
