Add Review/Comment
Why Margaret Fuller Matters is a series of text-and-image panels designed to reintroduce this 19th-century feminist, transcendentalist, and foreign correspondent. The exhibit will explore Fuller’s relationship with key colleagues (including Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry David Thoreau, and Nathaniel Hawthorne), her views on women’s rights, education (especially female), class, slavery, American Indian rights, religion, transcendentalism, her world view as a transnationalist, and her unique vision of a just world.
