WHAT: Boston By Foot, Inc. and the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway Conservancy have collaborated to offer a series of guided walking tours of the Greenway from May through September, 2010. Tours are packed with knowledge about the history, horticulture, and the future of the Greenway, Boston's mile-long civic parkland created where an elevated highway once divided the city's communities. WHY: Boston By Foot guides have first-hand knowledge from the Conservancy about the Greenway parks, development parcels, and changes along the Greenway's edge. The Greenway is changing the way residents and visitors experience and interact with the city. WHEN: Every third Tuesday through September. Tuesday, August 17, 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm ($10) Walk the North End Parks to Chinatown! Tuesday, September 21. 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm ($10) Walk the North End Parks to Chinatown! WHERE: Tours meet on the Greenway, across from the intersection of Hanover and Cross Streets by the North End. All tours, unless noted above, are $10 and will be held rain or shine.
