    SPECIAL BREAKFAST DISCUSSION - 8am to 9am - Thursday, November 4 at the Modern Theatre,525 Washington Street, Downtown Crossing. “Election 2010 and Communities of Color” w/ Dr. Maria Torres (Gaston Institute for Latino Public Policy), Marvin Venay (Black and Latino Legislative Caucus), and Dr. Paul Watanabe (Institute of Asian American Studies); moderator Representative Linda Dorcena Forry. How will the newly-elected and -reelected officials likely address legislation affecting Asian American, Black, and Latino populations? The discussion will cover such topics as education, immigration and language, affordable housing, economic development, and health and safety. The panel will also touch upon the future of potential and current candidates of color in Massachusetts, as well as provide insight on how to ensure that these representatives meet the needs of these communities.
